Eek.
I THINK you're trying to say you have two accounts and you want to trade stuff between characters on separate accounts? If so, it IS possible to run two copies of GW at once, but you need a high-end computer and it's somewhat techy to manage. The other alternative is to run both accounts on separate computers if you have more than one. Personally, I run the second account on a rubbish laptop when I'm trading between accounts - it really struggles to run GW, but JUST enough to allow me to trade. Failing that, just get someone you REALLY trust to act as a trade go-between. |

Just create another user on your computer and switch between them and it'll let you run 2.

It's NOT that easy - just check this thread out...
Tutorial - Running Two Copies of Guild Wars It involves hex editing and a fair degree of know-how. |

Ah, must just be me then. I found all that hex editing and registry editing to be a bit too much to handle, especially when it needs to be re-done every update.

I didn't read that but I assume that'll allow you to run 2 copies of guildwars like just tabbing between them.
Making another user is extremely easy and you'll have to tab between the 2 users which takes like 2 seconds for any decent computer once you have both users loaded. It won't tell you you're already running guildwars because you aren't on that user.

I like the 2 compy idea more personally. Which is in no way influenced by the fact that I may or may not have a network of 3(or more) computers in my room alone at my disposal, not considering the rest of the home I live in(yes, it is more than one room )
I have a bit of experience with compies though, I love them so much that I wish I could marry them(and I would too :*() But I like the other way posted on here because it makes me feel like I hacked something this week. Though I didn't. I did last week though, trust me, I can't tell you what or they'll be after me if they aren't already Both are good options though, aside from my wandering. |

The walkthrough I posted above utilises registry editing into fooling your computer into thinking two copies of GW are two separate programs, whereas usually Windows can only use one iteration of this type of program. It all seems like too much work to me, so midrange PC and crappo lappo for me If one of you high end, tech-savvy gurus can point out if I'm wrong, I'd appreciate it - I hate getting my facts wrong! |

It's not really a limitation from the computer, and it is not a limitation from Windows either. It's a limitation from the Guild Wars itself, that it doesn't allow multiple instances of itself to be ran at the same time. The walkthrough makes the second copy of Guild Wars look for it's information from the 'wrong' place so it doesn't detect the already running copy. |

i tryed MCS's idea but i dint work because the files are saved to the c drive not a user account so ths files are being used even from other accounts.
Then i tryed the tutorial that Snograt said and it worked fine. My comp laged like a mother but it work no the less. TY all |
